Hi guys one of the jobs I have to do to get my Trafic T1000 back on the road is replace both headlamps as the reflectors have lost their shine, now headlamps for mk 1 trafics are harder to get hold of than hens teeth. I think I might have to do a conversion using Mk 1 Discovery units or Volvo 7 series units. If anyone else has had problems or has a secret stockpile of standard units can they let me know.
Thanks Brian.

A crazy idea maybe, but the old Trafic is still made in India as the Tata Winger. It has the later (smaller) headlights so you'd probably have to get the later bumper etc, and how you'd get the parts I don't know - but Tata do own Jaguar & Land Rover in the UK. Or maybe you know someone going to India for the Common wealth Games??? Very Happy

Hi all, interesting fact I had no idea that the trafic was still in production in India. I have sorted and improved the lighting removing the headlamps and grill, I have obtained a pair of Volvo 960 headlamps and a new Volvo grill (minus its badge) from ebay. I have to trim back the vertical metalwork at the inner edges of the headlamps so thw wider units fit back into the housings still keeping the Renault side / indicator units. As the heatlamps slope the oposit way to the Renaults I have to fabricate a couple of infill panels at the sides of the headlamps and wire up the internal spot and fog lamps. I will post some pics as I progress.

Sue and Brian.
