Hi,

I was reading a description of a vehicle today and it was busy talking about the garage space?

I just love the way makers take normal words and twist them into a new and utterly different meaning.

Can anyone please explain this new meaning?

Regards,

Shen

I think they mean the storage space at the rear of the mh, they call it a garage... really its just a space for a few bikes.

Is this what they mean?

Maybe they need some hints towards plain English for this Scot to understand what they are saying.

Or "The bittie in the back to stick the bits and bobs eh?" The polite version that is..LOL

However, the term originated in the States where some RVs do have a garage .. big enough for a small car.
The latest RV vehicle is called a " Toy Hauler" with a large garage to carry the "toys" and living space up front..

In a coachbuilt the presence of a garage usually dictates a higher bed level than normal , otherwise the garage ceiling would be too low to accept bikes or motorbikes.
Whilst such a store room below the bed is an attractive idea , negotiating the drop to floor level fom the bed in the middle of the night may not so interesting , with or without stepladders .
This was my conclusion when browsing recently,
What do garage owners think about this ?

Ah but if you shop really carefully, you can get great garage space, but a bed not too high off the floor. Take it from one with creaky joints, who certainly wouldn't be able for the 'big drop'. We've a Knaus Suntraveller, which gives us the best of both worlds.
