Hi all,

I just looked at a thread referring to sites in Wales.

Set off this train of thought. I have been researching sites in Scotland for a 'cruise' and have found that the web sites are inaccurate. However they depend on the sites I suppose updating them and merely parrot the info.

I was very pleased to see that there is a site on Skye which is open as I particularly wanted to go there with a friend to show them the island.

I am also making this trip partly to support the off season sites as if I don't offer my financial support will they be available off season next year? Just a thought to consider when thinking they all open next month so let's leave it hmm?

I am specially delighted to see that the site at Invercoe is open all year as last year the owner greeted the dog with "Hi Nikki". Now I had changed vehicles in the year since he had seen the dog so that was a fair feat or memory I thought, and so did Nikki.. *wag wag, woof!*

Oh yes and it's a well run site in a lovely situation.

You're right Shen, it must be hard for some sites to keep going through the winter.
There ia a demand though for all year sites. The Caravan Club seems to be increasing the number of their sites which open all year round. This is usually after increasing the number of ptches with hard standing.
I suspect we all worry about being bogged down on a soft grass pitch.

We carry a spade but it doesn't mean I want to use it. Smile
