Hello
Firstly, it is good to be back on this forum after our time away travelling, I have been reading with interest.

I am in a bit of a pickle and hoped someone might help.

We are off skiing in the van up North on Christmas eve and I wanted to take a genny as back up as we will wild camp but due to all the issues with deliveries to Scotland, can't get one online and have been trying to buy one locally.

Originally I had decided on the 2k Kipor, but now an open to anything due to the situation.

I can get a 1k Clarke from Machine mart but think its too noisy.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks again

Viks

Macro Edindinburgh have them if you know anyone with a card
Also Screwfix at Seafield
Cosco also worth a try

If you are after a Honda one etc do a search on their site for local dealers

Hi Viks,

If you can afford it, go for the Honda. An excellent machine worth paying a little extra for.

As its always windy in Scotland why not get one of these...

You will have to be careful of the route you choose and avoid any low bridges. Very Happy

Dont paint yourself into a corner !!!

Why not hire one for a few days rather than buy one that might not be exactly what you want !

If you can afford it the best ones are the inverter ones, small and quiet but not exactly cheap.
