Hi,
Well my opinion I have to say we have one at work for towing, it replaced a mighty unreliable Izusu Trooper which ate 3 engines in 24000 mls, to sum up the Rexton, built like a tank, 55000 mls of abuse from numerous drivers, returns around 27mpg generally tows 3.5 tonnes no problem and has never got stuck off road, never had any work done on it and everything still works the same as day one, ride is not brilliant and nor are its looks but for work I cannot fault it and would certainly buy another, it may depreciate fast but 50% of £17000 is alot less than a Disco or similar. Compared to the problems with Fiat's X250's on this forum the Rexton's are truely stunning.
The Rexton I am looking at is a Brand New old Stock Rexton (not Rexton II or the new 2011 Rexton III) Commercial. So just two seats, with the rear seats and belts removed.
However, the price inc of VAT which I can claim back is £11,500 + £800 OTR Costs.
So not so bad a price considering the original full retail was around the £18,478 inc VAT + OTR

Theres your answer £7k off . Imagine what it will be worth when you come to get rid of it, on the brightside 11k is a cheap van
I have had two VW T5's nearly ended up with a 3rd but gave up. These vans were close on £30k with VAT. Dealer seemed to have them more than I did, nightmare.
I currently knock around in a 2000 W Reg previa (The original Idiosyncratic one that came out in 1990, mid engine, 2 propshafts).
In 30,000 miles it has never skipped a beat.
It is smooth so long as you don't thrash it
Not the most dynamic thing to drive and it is very thirsty.
I cannot claim the VAT on fuel as it is a Car and I run it privately and claim the mileage back.
I had considered converting it to LPG but then had some bad reports on conversions to the original Previa. Then thought it may be time for a change.
I have looked at Mercedes Vitos, like the Idea of a V6 122CDi Euro V. But they are silly money and came across the old Stock but new Rextons.
I want an Auto
Would like cruise
A/C a must
Must be able to claim the VAT back on Purchase and Fuel.
Pick ups are no use to me.
