Hi,

Had my van for around 6 months and started having battery issues around 2 months ago or so.
Battery fully discharged after a week or no use and i called out the AA, he said probably the weather and re-charged it for me. I took it for a drive and parked it up, tried to start it 2 days later and no go, although not fully discharged.
Anyway this went on and on for weeks until I rang the dealers, they suggested i take it to Peugeot under warranty as it sounded like a cell may have gone or something similar. This i did and received a call to say that they couldn't change the battery as it wasn't the original Peugeot spec and wasn't high enough amp?? rating.
The van was bought from new and i questioned how this could be, the Peugeot Service Manager explained that this was probably the fifth such occurrence in as many months and to ring the Motorhome dealer, who'd originally told me it wasn't their place to deal with the issue.
I rang them straight away and explained what Peugeot had said and quoted the battery reference as per the spec and guess what?? Not a problem sir, bring it in and we'll get it sorted for you straight away!! Hey, don't get me wrong, no problem with that but it was some about turn!!
Of course they can't explain why this has happened but it certainly got me thinking Surprised

I have worked in some motorhome dealers and i know they change batteries from van to van, and even more so with leisure batteries, they will put hem on charge in the back and give you another one.
