When posting an announcement can a direct link to the new blog be published? Please!

When new campsites are announced one click on the link and it's viewable.....not so with blogs.....many times I give up after the proverbial runaround Rolling Eyes

You may have seen a new blog announcement from me. However it isn't there yet! I am having trouble with the new system and it keeps getting lost or rather I seem to lose everything!!!

I have spent hours yesterday evening and early this morning at it and in the end I gave up!!

that is exactly how it is configured, it posts a direct link etc only if the blog is set to be viewable by public, sometimes a user may post a blog entry as public viewable (the automatic forum post is made) and then the user then modifies it to be private entry afterwards. Or sometimes the user may delete the entries later

The system works as far as auto posting is concerned Wink

The last one I tried to look at was marked as 'Private'.
I don't understand why a blog is posted on the forum and nobody is allowed to read it......surely it can simply be deleted if the poster doesn't want anybody to read it Rolling Eyes

Second thought Rolling Eyes .......if it is deleted/removed does it then show as 'Private'?

I now know why I don't blog Shocked Very Happy Very Happy

My blogs take about three days to write and I do several edits If I make it public before it is finished I get comments like "where are the photos?" or what happened next?" So I make them private until finished.

I have a test one that I make private as well. If I was doing a major revision of a public one I might make it private for a time.

no it shows as missing. The system doesn't post auto post blog announcements in the forum for a private listed blog
