Morning All
I am trying to locate a garage in the Bolton area for the above jobs on a Hymer 614. Just been in to the garage who did the MOT last year and although they do commercials, they were basically not interested- excuse of not having the timing tools etc. So they have now also lost the MOT and service.
So I am looking for a garge in the area who can do all three jobs- preferably on the same day.
Over to you.....

Regards Steve

Fully agree with crindle! C & M Autoservices at Lancaster. They are so good it is worth me travelling down from Aberdeen when I want a decent amount of work done. They did my timing belt and tensioners last year for £199.

Yellow pages, a telephone and about an hour of your time.

Any garage that can cope with the physical size/weight of your van should be able to help.

thats a pathetic excuse your "local" garage came up with. You dont need any specialist tools to get the valve timing right after a cam belt renewal, just a bottle of tippex !!!

I see it all the time in the garage trade- if they don't want the job then they make up an excuse and/or provide a ridiculous quote. Anyhow it's their loss as I will take all of my business elsewhere.

Try Pete on this website, he is a mobile mechanic based in Bromley Cross, but can arrange timing belt replacements etc. He did the base vehicle & habitation on my motorhome last year. Did an excellent job.
