Hi All, We are leaving for Spain on Sunday and thought we'd take a different (cheaper!) route, the main towns on the route are Abbeville, Rouen, Chartres, Tours, Bordeaux and Bayonne. Can any of you folks kindly recommend any Aires near to these towns?

Hi Richard,
We have used Saint-Valery sur-Somme on the coast not far from Abbeville an excellent Aire. Also one inthe centre of Montville just north of Rouen and Chartres has an excellent municiple site on the south side of town.
Check on www.campingcar-infos.com ,click on "pour entrer" and then on "resercher une aire" for invaluable information.
I usually print from this site the Departments I am visiting and use it in conjunction with the Aires book.
You could also plan your route on www.mappy.com and use the without tolls option.
