Heard somewhere that the MK7 transit with 215 75 R16 wheels cannot take snow chains as they snag on the struts?. Has anyone tried successfully to fit and use snow chains?

The Transit forum seems to indicate snow chains are in use:

Hi Vicky, I had a Mk7 Transit (FWD) with 215/75/16 tyres fitted and it was clearly stated in the Ford manual that chains cannot be fitted for the reasons you state, I fitted narrower 195/16 winters to the front of mine and chains fitted these no probs.
I don't know if 16" RWD versions have the same issue.

Pete
