Today I came across a thread that I posted on about a year ago, and it highlighted an issue for me that I'd never considered.
At the time, I had a Compass Avantgarde (aka Elddis Autoquest), which as many may know suffers from small water tanks. I've now got a Autotrail Cheyenne, no such issues. However, in that thread all those months ago someone had queried why anyone was interested in the quality of showers on sites, and I was explaining that as we had limited water carrying capacity, with my van using the site facilities was better.
But the thing is, the profile that's displayed at the left of the post is one's current one, reflecting the motorhome one has now. Anyone reading that post would think I was referring to the AT having small tanks. At worst, someone could convey some safety critical information which was correct for the van they had at the time, but not for the one they have now....and someone reading "On my motorhome X Y Z happens" would naturally just look at the profile to see what "my motorhome" is...and perhaps got the wrong impression.
Not sure I've got an answer : I guess the best thing would be if the profile displayed reflected the profile at the time of posting, but that's pretty fundamental re-engineering. Perhaps there'd be scope for a "previous motorhomes" field, with dates that each applied?
You could do an edit on it saying the comment was for.. make and model.

Unfortunately you can't go back & edit anymore....I suppose I could enter my motorhome as "Autotrail Cheyenne 696G, was Compass Avantgarde 140 before Oct 10".
