Hello,

We have recently bought a Hymermobil 540 on a Mercedes 310 2.3l Petrol automatic engine circa 1987. Its a lovely old motorhome and we are gradually getting used to life in the (very) slow lane!

I have been looking on the web for a workshop manual for this engine, but have had no joy so far in tracking one down. Have found lots of manuals available for the T1 diesel engines, but I have been struggling to find one for the 310 petrol automatic.

Any suggestions on where i might be able to get hold of a workshop manual for a 310 petrol automatic would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking to do any major overhauls - just keen to try and get to know the engine and do some servicing (oil change/ air filter type of thing).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, we had a similar problem with our 1981 Hymer 590 so as it is only the engine part of a manual that I needed i bought one for the mercedes w123 which uses the same engine and gear box.
