My mate has got a 2009 Autocruise Gleneagle fitted with a factory installed reversing camera. It currently looks down at the bike rack and he has been told that it is not possible to adjust the tilt so that he can use it as a rear view camera. I have had a look but there is no obvious clamp. Has he really got to live with a rear view camera which shows nothing of any assistance?
modified as it is a Gleneagle not not a Augusts as per title

Sounds to me like it's a reversing camera not a rear view camera so it's doing the job off making sure you don't smack yer ass on a bollard or run a dog over.
Professional fitter's experience/knowledge required c'mon guys!
Wonder if you can remove the camera intact, if so just replace it with a external camera with a surface mount camera you can tilt, and connect onto the existing video and cd power lines... just a suggestion..

Possibly a good move to ask Swift?
It can be used as a reversing camera as it is switched on by going in reverse. It is though of very limited use as it is virtually aiming straight down and the folded bike rack fills the screen. If the monitor is switched on then the camera is live and it could be used as a rear view camera.

Clive, It is built into a nice looking pod and the camera itself is fitted on a plate that fits flush with the pod front. It looks like it may swivel up - down. There is a small entry hole on the LH side that could possibly be an entry for some adjusting mechanism but if so it is not obvious. Ray
