Just been hearing of someone who went on holiday to Africa and came home to a £1500 phone bill because they forgot to turn of data roaming whilst overseas, another of over £1000 for 3 weeks in the US. Shocked

Please remember to turn off Data Roaming, or you might come home to a big bill!

Some of the phone experts on here will know if this also relates to Europe.

Yes I was worried about that. I'm with Virgin and I rang them to be told that the default setting with them is OFF for outside UK so you have to deliberately ring them to turn it on or alternatively if you try to use data I will get a message telling me that it will cost "A Fortune" if I accept Laughing
