I'm looking for advice on the most suitable route from Europort (Rotterdam) to Luxembourg.

Either via Antwerp & Brussels or Eindhoven & Liege.

It's two years since we last used the route and then we went via Eindhoven.

In May 2004 we spent an hour approaching Eindhoven on the A2 from Liege in first gear. There were traffic lights at a very large roundabout and the roadworks did not help.

Any up to date info will be most welcome. We will be travelling on the 6 January
I'm not sure how this fits in with the Christmas/New Year holidays on the continent.

Thanks

Don

I have always gone via Antwerp and Liege then down the A27 and N62/N7 into Luxemburg but like you have not been recently but as long as you can get round Antwerp which is usually busy but does move then I have not encountered any problems.

Check on the ITV travel Ceefax Pages think it is 165 (round there) Road works in europe

There has been major works on the Antwerp bye pass (ALL of it) causing major problems and backlogs

Thik they go on well into 2006

I've checked out the euro routes (page 168) and it only mentions Brussels.

I'll check the Euro truck drivers forum for road works on the Antwerp ring road.

All the roadworks on the Antwerp Ring road are now complete.
