Hello.

My 1990 Transit-based petrol Autosleeper has the petrol tank on the nearside, half way along the side. I need to replace both tank straps after one snapped on the last trip.

I have been told that a standard Transit would have the tank at the rear and so if is it true then the tank has been moved by Autosleeper.

My question is: will the straps still be the standard Ford ones, or do I need some different straps?

Thanks.

Hi Richard

Your answer lies >> here << but I don't know if they are open on Saturday mornings.

If it's urgent, why not cobble one up from a length of steel strip until you can replace it properly. I'm sure you could make a perfectly adequate temporary job if you want to get out in this lovely weather. Very Happy

Dave

Thanks. It is not urgent as we have just returned from a trip (and I did a fine Heath Robinson repair using a bungy to get us home).
