OK - So we're new to this, but just incase anybody else is thinking that a 12v hairdryer might be a good idea - THINK AGAIN Laughing

First official 'why did I waste money on this' - I'm sure that there will be more purchases of this kind as we go on Embarassed

I am now wondering what other useless items people have brought - maybe you can post on here, it may prevent a lot of money being wasted Wink

Laughing Laughing Laughing

And do listen to those of us with personal experience . . . and lofts full of "must have" gadgetry!!

I recall that I advised a member (was it you? Wink ) against wasting his/her hard earned cash on a 12 volt hair dryer, when a nice fluffy towel is a lot cheaper and does a pretty good job. Rolling Eyes

Can't remember if I said at the time that I am as bald as a coot? Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Bet it won't be your last daft purchase. You will be unique in our little world if it is!! Wink

Hi

I have made far too many useless purchases so I sympathise. My 12v hairdryer bit the dust years ago. Laughing However, I now carry a hot brush! It's a good compromise for those of us who need a bit of directed heat to make hair stay in the correct place for more than a minute or two! Rolling Eyes
Obviously you need to be on mains but it is low wattage and quick to use.
Works for me.........

About 6 years ago I purchased a Roof mounted Air Con system, Biggest waste of big cash I have ever made, When it was hot in the day we were out, When it was hot evening time we were outside, when it was hot at night, we couldn't have it on it was too noisy, so basically we never had it on, except maybe a couple of times just to cool hab area down when we just returned after a day out, but apart from that unused. Embarassed

I'm too ashamed to admit to all the useless purchases (running into the tens if not hundreds) I have made, but I do confess to an electric peppermill....I console myself with the thought that I have actually made one or two pretty good ones!

I dumped my 12v. car vac after trying to use it. Pathetic little sucker.

I have a cupboard full of useless purchases.

The best purchase I have ever made was Lady p`s wedding ring.
It has survived 38 years this year without having to change the wearer Cool

Where to start ?

We've got things that do the job- just- but we've then gone on to see someone using something that does the job even better and so the original eventually gets pushed into the garage to join the recliner chairs, folding tables, bits of hose, waste water container etc etc.

I don't think we've wasted any large amounts of money - though the so-far-not-unpacked lightweight awning bought to go to Spain and Portugal earlier this year is going that way.

I have bottles of the stuff and none do what it says on the 'tin'. I have even tried using it without much luck.

I have made mine, but when I do, I throw them in the dustbin irrespective of the cost. I just don't want to store them and to be reminded of my mistake every time I see them. I now cant remember what the last one was! Great isn't it.
