can any one help me find how to lower the spare wheel on my peugeot boxer based swift mondial? There does not appear to be any visible way of lowering the mechanism holding the wheel in place.

The instructions in the hanbook refer to an access point which we cannot find.

Access on Peugeot panel van based Mondial is behind off-side rear wheel under side fairing.
Fiat panel van spare wheel(if there is one) access is through rear bumper assembly, open off-side rear door and remove grommet.
