Hi
Has anyone fitted a swivel to the DRIVERS seat on a MK 7 fwd Transit.
Some supplyers say no problem some say you need to modify hand brake. Mine is on the right hand side. If you have a swivel from new do you know the make of it, FASP. MAPA. SPORTSCRAFT.

We have a Chausson Flash 04 on a mk 7 transit. The seat swivels and the handbrake is on the right hand side. Personally I do not have a problem with it.
As to the make, I do not have a clue, but it may be worth contacting Highbridge and asking them as they supply Chausson's. Very Happy

We have swivels fitted to both cab seats from new on our Hymer MK7 Transit.

I don't know if Hymer have them specially made but it is a simple job to fit/remove.

Simply unbolt the seat from the frame, bolt the swivel onto the frame and then refit the seat onto the swivel.

All the bolt holes match up but you do need five extra bolts that must be countersunk types to avoid fouling when swivelling.

Be warned that fitting a swivel does raise the seat position a couple of inches which makes driving less comfortable.

I toyed with the idea of removing the swivel but decided against as it is a useful feature.

Try calling either Hymer UK or Peter Hambilton, both of Preston.
