I have been waiting for a replacement for the part shown below since January. Peugeot are having problems with their parts supplier and despite my having taken this up at Director level with Peugeot UK they are unable to say when they will receive new parts.
Meanwhile, my vehicle is not road legal, also the retrofit cruise control is rendered inoperative.
Can anyone suggest where I might obtain a replacement unit, either through alternative after-market sources or if all else fails a second-hand part from a breakers yard?

I assume you have tried places like German, Swedish and French Car parts and Euro Car parts? Alternatively its the scrap yards or maybe even ebay? There are some parts finder services online.Maybe ringing every Peugeot dealer you can find?

Are those the names of companies? If so I can Google for their details, unless you have them handy. I have already tried searching e-bay, I also tried some websites who claim to find parts but they all seem to list high cost premium phone numbers so I'm not sure if they are scams or pukka - anyone advise?
I have phoned all of the listed Peugeot commercial dealers I can find around here and I have also tried e-mailing major Peugeot dealers in France and Germany but so far no luck.
Peugeot Customer Services management assure me they have already checked their own dealer network world-wide. They are trying to find an alternative supplier themselves as they have had such a problem with their existing supplier.

I can't believe that Peugeot would allow them selves to run out of something world wide. If it were me I would not believe them and try some of the not too local dealers just in case.

I seem to remember some parts finder services were via a form and email. Like http://www.carsparefinder.co.uk/ - says free quote. Maybe best to setup a gmail or yahoo mail account in case they get bombarded with spam.

Many thanks for this, I have tried the first two, no luck - will try the other one now.
I have escalated this to the UK MD and the UK Customer Services Director at Peugeot, believe me I have a history of letters, e-mails and phone calls going back to January expressing my astonishment at this lack of service backup from such a major commercial vehicle manufacturer. I have even threatened to go to the press with this and 'wildcamp' out in their UK HQ car park!
Peugeot management are very embarrassed but helpless, they assure me they have even tried to find a 'donor vehicle' to pinch the part from but as it's the 2002 version hence no longer made they haven't got any. They are seeking an alternative external supplier as they have been so badly let down, they say this has never happened before. They are very sympathetic but that doesn't help get me road legal.

It must be so frustrating. I am sure if you email lots of 'parts finder' type services they will come up with one. I would not use your normal email address, set up a gmail one. That way you can email as many parts finders as you can find and you wont get inundated with spam.
Maybe there is a Peugeot van forum or just a Peugeot forum that has a van section.
You mention that your vehicle is not road legal. I believe that you only have to have a method to tell how fast you are going. So you should be OK with a gps that displays speed. I don't actually think a working mileometer is a legal requirement. Although I wait to be corrected.
If you ask Peugeot if anything else is effected they should be able to tell you. I am guessing that any abs wont work off the speedo as it needs individual wheel sensors.
As I say best to get Peugeot to confirm any systems effected by no speed signal.
Just had another thought Peugeot is part of Citroen, I wonder if citroen used the same part on any of their vehicles? Might be worth visiting a friendly dealer, ideally with the speed sensor and seeing if they have anything.

Yes, they are all one organisation now, although I don't think Citroen ever did a similar unit to the Boxer.
HOWEVER you have caused me to remember that the Fiat Ducato was a very similar engine to the Boxer in some models so that line may be worth pursuing further, thanks.
