Been looking about for a large van to start my first pvc the first van Ive looked at is an iveco 35s12 lwb on a 04 looks like a good van but the miles are up there its got nearly 200 000 on the clock.

the second is a merc sprinter the van I fancied in the first place its a 313 lwb on a 03 with 140 000 on the clock

Both vans are more or less the same price and I already no the merc is a bit smaller .What I want to know is ,has any 1 on here converted any of these vans before and what problems they run in to with said vans .

I realy like the merc but after owning an ageing merc car before I no its not very often that a repair bill comes to less than an arm an a leg but as Ive never owned any large van before I could really do with a bit of help on this Smile

thanks
Jade

I would buy a Mercedes Sprinter, no doubt about it. Don't buy a SprintShift.

Speak to Robert Williams at Robert Williams Trading

Very nice bloke, easy to speak to and deal with.

Knows Sprinters inside out and has a lot of higher mileage vans at the right money.

Hi Jade, the Merc` is really reliable. I bought the 311cdi extra long & extra high five years ago. Very reliable, although won`t start first try if he`s been parked for a few days on a slope with the engine high. I think this is an air leak at the fuel filter; a few spins puts it right.
I`m selling mine now, I just don`t know what it`s worth, for an advert`. Have you any idea?

I bought new as I wanted all the optional extras like a/c & c/cont & rev/sens, plus windows in sides & roof. I couldn`t descide what spec` to fit it out too; so I have only ply lined, mattress on floor. I paid £27`130.50 for him & now covered 19k miles. What do you think he`s worth? thanks, Ed

Hi Bodgers

Jade last visited the site on 11th May - no subsequent thanks for the advice offered or progress reports, so maybe he was just a transient visitor to the forum?
