I've followed the Hydra lift topic with interest and had just about decided to get one - until the latest posts which now have me wondering.

I've been looking at Eze Tow's offering which seems quite good.

Has anyone tried it?

How does loading work?

Do the ferry companies accept these (either make) as racks rather than trailers?

I would call it a trailer, they only need to know that you have trailer because of where they put you on the ferry deck.
You are charged on overall length. They need to know overall hight as so ferries have a drop down car deck.

As it does not articulate I would not call it a trailer. Just add on to the length of your vehicle. But advise the ferry company anyway.

It looks a cost effective option to a normal bike trailer.

I will be interested in the comments on this topic.
Have been watching ezetow website for some months and not seen the updates they are promising.
Have wondered whether they are still in business as the concept seems to good mix between a side loading trailer and an easylifter. Very Happy

The other thing to remember is rear swing, if like me your van has a long overhang then then it would make it even worse.

I know the owner was very ill a while ago, but I have no idea what the current state of things are.

It would be worth persevering though I think. I saw it at a show and was very impressed.

As far as I know they are still very busy, a phone call is the simplest way to contact, lot of emails from hotmail, gmail etc get bounced as spam due to the volume of spam generated from these providers

They are a small company who seemed to be very busy at the recent shows we have seen them, looks a good product.
