I will update this as and when i get chance....

To get things started. Something that seemed to interest a few people.

Why use 2 valves to inflate your air bags rather than 1.

I have made 2 (very) simple animations to illustrate why 2 bellows 'Tee'd together to a single inflation valve is not good.

With single valve (bags joined via hose)

http://www.gasworksair.co.uk/uploads/bags.swf or http://www.gasworksair.co.uk/uploads/bags.gif

Bags piped individually

http://www.gasworksair.co.uk/uploads/bags2.swf or http://www.gasworksair.co.uk/uploads/bags2.gif

Explained....

In the first animation (if you can call it that! Laughing) you see the air bellows are connected together with air hose with a single line 'Teed' off to the inflation valve (not shown)

You see when pressure is applied to the right bellow, the air is simply forced out under the pressure (of cornering etc) into the left bellow which has less pressure applied.

This makes the air suspension system extremely inefficient.

In the second 'animation' you see that both bellows have thier own piping to the inflation valve (again, not shown) thus making it impossible for the air to travel between bellows when one becomes under pressure.

This means each bellow can work as a sealed unit, and gives it back its 'spring' properties.

Hope that clears things up a bit!

Any questions...post away!
