Looking for scooter to go in garage and for shortish trips to pub, shops etc two-up. I have a UK and AU m/c licence.

The Peugot V clic 50cc 4 stroke seems reasonable value at current offer of £929 - weighs just 79kg and there seems to be plenty of dealers.

Does anyone have experience of this model or have other suggestions?

We are from Australia and touring UK/Europe each summer so dealer support for warranty may be important. Also light weight.

You may find the 50cc just a little too underpowered with two up. I'm guessing that your Aussie licence would cover you in UK and Europe so why not go for a 125cc to give you a little more whooomph to get up hills etc. Not much extra weight but lots more power.

As an alternative Kymco have a good dealer network and while the hardcore anti Chinese will no doubt have their say I have found them reliable and cheap.

Thanks for the help. The Chinese scooter dealers on line claimed not to give any warranty on labour - only parts - not legal!

We bought the V clic and yes 50cc is low powered but works well (so far) for our purposes so we are quite pleased. Probably we will trade for a bigger machine when we get the hang of it.

I've got an Aprillia 250 as I found a 125 was a little underpowered, just had it mot'd with 900 miles on the clock, at this rate it'll last another 30 years. Wink

I have a Honda sh300i, which is a great scooter single or two up.
Tried various 125's a 180 and a 200 but as above I found underpowered if two up.
