We've got 3 sims. One for each of my young boys and one for us as the contact phone. This is because once you top up, you get FREE Giffgaff to Giffgaff calls for 3 months.

Add to this that at the mo there is also free data (which was supposed to have finished last Dec but they keep extending the offer!) and you'll see it's not a bad offer considering the very reasonable Europe roaming charges.

It runs off the o2 network.

SIM cards are free but get someone to refer you and you get £5 free credit (with no catch). Once a member for every person you refer you also get £5 credit.

If anyone wants a free SIM and £5 credit click here please!

Was very tempted andysam.
But it looks rather expensive when used in France.

Ray.

Definitely not as cheap as the dedicated roaming SIMs Ray, but for the UK no-one else comes close.

Seconded

I have GG sim in a spare smartphone - I loaded a £5 top up and just buy a "Goodie Bag" with unlimited internet whenever I want to use it - I don't think the top-up credit runs out, but the "Goodie Bags" last a month.

Thanks andysam, have passed your link onto a couple of friends going to UK in a couple of weeks.

Ray.
