Hi all, I'm looking to purchase a used van that has a rear lounge which can be made up to 2 x single beds and also made into a large double.
I would like a base vehicle that is either a renault master or ?
The length must be 6 m or less.
The price would be about 30000 or less will look at more if the right vehicle.
There seems to be lots of sites but I don't seem to be getting anywhere so i have joined this forum for some advice!!

Wouldn't the 6M be a problem with that design? I had one that fitted the brief (Compass Avantgarde 140, aka Elddis Autoquest 140), and it was 6.5M. Difficult to see where you'd lose half a metre.

Are you wanting A Class or Coach built? or are you not bothered?

I don't think there are many Embarassed could be wrong though.

Keep and eye on ebay, Dethleffs Globebus I3

Not sure on the length though.

With that max length it sounds like a panel van conversion will be your only viable option. Have you looked at Wildax?

How about:

Autotrail Tracker CK
Autosleeper Ravenna
Autosleeper Nuevo EL
Swift Sundance 590RL
Elddis Sunseeker 25 or 400
Elddis Autoquest 120

I believe most of these are below 6m. Many vans that were under the 6m then went over with the new style cabs. The Nuevo EL is still under the 6m and on the new cab, but might push your budget?

I would think that if your preference is Renault then that puts all the above and any others out! Confused

Hope this helps.

Mark

Hi there and welcome

Our Eura Mobil Terrestra 580HB is 6m, has a rear lounge which makes up into a double (but not two singles), has a very large overcab bed, is winterised and has loads of storage.

You can't have ours but you might find a second hand one for the price you are looking for.

It is on a Fiat but I don't know if that's an issue for you.

Happy hunting.

Swift Mondial RL or Autosleepers Warwick Duo?. Both under 6m, both with single beds but both built on the Boxer. Lowdhams have a special deal on the Mondial.

Milly.

That hits the nail on the head Milly. To have 2xsingles means a longer lounge, hence the difficulty with hitting 6M. The Autoquest 120 that Mark mentions, for example, achieves 6M via a lounge that converts to transverse double rather than singles.

If the 6M req't is firm, that probably will restrict to a PVC. But this could be an interesting thread trying to find a coachbuilt that hits the target...

Paul

As stated only a Panel Van has 2 singles under 6m.
All coachbuilts with 2 singles are 6.30m and over.

I've watched the market for years and decided that '2' into 6 will never go.........but I keep looking Rolling Eyes
