Dometic Fridge 12v problem

Hi we have an Autocruise Starfire and have found that the dometic fridge keeps blowing the 15 amp fuse when we put it on 12v. Has anybody else had this problem ad knowof how to correct problem many thanks.

Sounds like the 12v heating element has a fault? Or check the cable.

yes is a matter of disconection the fridge element and see what happens, if the fuse still goes its either the wireing or something else conected to that supply, like the auto close of the steps, dish retract for example but its more likely to be the fridge element........ best of luck
