mine is set to lead acid setting and i m getting a fully charged voltage of 14.75 ish when the regulator instructions say it should be 14.4....(ambient Temperature 13 degrees)

i put the link in for sealed battery charging and it gives a voltage of 14.4 ...

Just wondering if its best to leave the link in or leave it charging at 14.75 and on the lead acid setting.... and keep an eye on fluid levels ?

Have you verified the observed voltages by independant means ?

Charging voltage should go up for lower temperatures. I guess the standard 14.4V will be at 20C, so you would need to look up how much it should increase by 13C.

I put a switch across the terminals where the link is/is'nt for battery type selection and switch off when parked/laid up at home to reduce gassing and fluid loss and switch on when camping to get the maximum charge.

I check electrolyte levels 4 times a year as it is quite surprising how much goes when fully charging the batteries up to the gassing levels.

A good idea that eminated from Sallytrafic actually and copied having checked it was OK to switch under load so to speak with Morningstar.(regulator manufacturers)

CTEK battery chargers have two selectable outputs, one at 14.7V and one at 14.4V. The manual says use 14.7 for wet lead acid and 14.4 for sealed types.
CTEK know there stuff when it comes to chargers so I am sure you will be fine at the voltages you measured.
Good idea to keep an eye on the fluid levels anyway.
