We have also just bought our insurance from Motorhome facts (Aviva) and saved approx £180 as opposed to Caravan Guard. Really pleased!

March of last year, Aviva, through Comfort, quoted £240 to renew.

Aviva, through MHF, I was quoted £212. Increased mileage took it to £229. Then I added a satellite dome which added about £45 more = £274.

Aviva, through the Caravan Club, quoted £591! Evil or Very Mad

For this year, the quotes underwritten by Aviva are:

Renewal through MHFacts Insurance: £255.57

Through the Caravan Club: £667 and no they will not keep the promise of beating a renewal by £25!! Evil or Very Mad

So MHF Insurance saved me £417.43 compared to the CC, who "work hard for its members!" !!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a PS: by paying MHF Insurance £311, I moved to the platinum level which includes UK breakdown through the RAC, plus European breakdown. Very Happy Very Happy Wink

Glad majority of you are getting cheaper quotes than elsewhere but the benefit is really that its a superb policy underwritten by Aviva and supported on UK Call centres Wink

Dave,
The only question I have is regarding windscreen cover can it be increased from the £3000 limit? Even if there is an additional premium I am sure those like me who have an A class van would appreciate it and it may increase business for you Rolling Eyes

direct from the broker:

"The windscreen limit is set at £3000 per claim and it cannot be increased even for an additional premium."

If the glass is a concern then IMO it should be reviewed, when the overall facility with AVIVA is due.

My highest glass claim was AVIVA for a replacement sunroof on a 4X4 Porsche £6,800, £75 XS and no loss of no claims. The AVIVA private car wording had no limit, but you can see why insurers like a limit!

You could argue if it is many thousands for a new screen, you could make a normal claim under Accidental Damage, pay your excess, lose a life on your protected No Claims and still be better off!
