We are headed to USA for a holiday visit with family; Nov., Dec., 2011 and returning end of January 2012. We're taking a Repo' Cruise to beat the high cost of airfares these days so we will depart from Barcelona Harbour. (yes, we are yanks, just thought we'd be thoughtful and throw in that extra "u")
We are quite familiar with the Brava/Blanca coast but have never had reason to store our N+B Flair 6100 anywhere here in the past so we have haven't really had our "eyes open" to noticing the whereabouts of storage sites.
We have briefly looked at the BCN area and have found most storage sites are very expensive (upwards 8 euros a day and as much as 700 euros for the 3 months), they are fully booked and mostly on annual contracts. (I.E. cheapest near BCN is in Tordera, TechnoCaravaning, annually contracted at 300 euros/yr.)
Does anyone have a recommendation of a safe, reliable, storage site anywhere within 100 miles of Barcelona? I'm thinking of dropping everything off at the ship then store the RV and take a train back to the harbour. So "Within Training Range" would include as far south as Peniscola, North to Figuares and West to Lleida and this puts Girona and Vic well within range. I do realize that this could equal up to a 4 hour or so parking up ordeal but the ship doesn't depart until 18:00 and it all may work out economically beneficial.

Could try the long stay parking at the airport...not sure what you will pay ...we use this company in Alicante when we go away,they have parking at Barcelona.Im sure there a few other companies that will do it as well
A lot of the campsites either store them or have a place nearby but you do need to check as some are not secure.
I can't help with a place as I have never needed it but on the site we were on last winter at Benicarlo they would store caravans for the summer.
Camping Alergria at Benicarlo. It does have train links to Barcelona and is just in side your area. They might want you to spend some time there before considing storeage.

I am now on to a pair of caravan dealers from the BCN area who also provide parking. Camping-Center in Tordera provide annual contracts for Autocaravanas for just 300 euros a year, 6 month contracts at just over half that! But another parking just 200 meters south on the N11, Visa Park (http://www.visaparkmaresme.com/principal.html) offers a 50 Euros/mo. deal.
Both are attractive and just 1 mile walk from thr Tordera train station which happens to be in the Barcelona Metro Scheme and is in the zone 5 of their rate schedule. Just 1 hour and I am back to the cruise port!
