Hi i recently bought a 660 hymer 1920, i'm in the process of a thourgh going over. I noticed that the waste water gauge was not working on inspection, i noticed 2 wires were off, on the top of the tank, behind the drivers seat (LHD) under a flap in the lino.

The tank is insulated and i think winterised. I reconnected the blue wire to one of the joined terminals and it has turned out to be the tank gauge, because that now works. Now my question is, what is the other wire for? Its right there with a spade on it, brown, and it looks obvious to connect it to the other side of the tank gauge, but that will be a direct connection with the other wire? Could it be that this is a wire that heats the gauge and water for very cold weather? Does anyone have a similar aged hymer they could look at for me?

On examiation of the fresh water tank, under the floor of the rear lounge area, there is also a wire hanging with spade, near another double spaded gauge connection, this time a white wire, is this fresh water heated tank connection?

Any help much appricated
