Just got home from work with the kit and set the thing up with the dish on the patio table. 5 minutes later, Wimbledon, much easier than I thought! Very Happy (I do not work for Multimo or Roadpro!)

Iv,e also have a Multimo and had it for about 18 months. There are advantages over a roof mounted system (and disadvantages)
Mine goes on the tripod supplied and once on the tripod I can set it up to receive in about half the time my frriends roof mounted system takes to lock on automatically. The disadvantage is that when its windy or raining you have to go outside to set it up and it can be stolen.
The other advantage is that it can be moved to a suitable location within reason. With a roof mounted system you are stuck if there are trees etc in the way. As with any portable system I can usually move mine to a better position to get a 'satellite view. I can also leave it working when its very windy (provided I,ve pegged down the tripod) Fixed systems other than domes usually seem to have to be put down in strong winds.
Having said all that I would love a dome system but can,t afford it although I can,t think of a rational reason for wanting one, but perhaps one day when I,ve got about £1500 to spare.

Just bought a dome at Snellyvision for £945.00 and rays just fitted it today and we are well pleased.
I said he wasnt to buy another portable Ariel as we have tried so many and they all have failed in a field with nothing around us:wink:

I bought a s/hand Multimo a couple of months ago and used it at home recently to align the dish on the side of the house. It far easier to set up the Multimo - so much so that I almost didn't bother setting the big dish as the Multimo works perfectly in the bedroom window.

I like my Multimo!
Once I sorted out angles and dangles it works a treat.
I use a sucker and stick it onto my roof through the Heki rooflight.
Wind and rain? As long as I clean the patch it stands on, it never moves.
Got good picture from the Portugese/Spanish area north of Gibralter when my neighbours had huge dishes and were no better off.
Alan
