Just thought if anyone is considering dumping that suitcase satelite system out of frustration. I have just bought the Glomax discovery from Snellyvision. First let me say the sevice is first class. Not many supliers out there today can earn that today. second the system was so simple to install. A tube of cistaflex or similar . First clean the area. squiurt it over the four feet place in position press down and forget it. next a hole in the roof. This was daunting but starting with a small drill and increasing it. completed. Insert cable a cap to cover it and stuck in place. Thats the roof bit done. inside mounting the control box 2 screws to mount the back template. Conect the arials ,one from dome one to sat box. Mount the control box by sliding it onto the template. Conect it to power output. . All thats left to do is conect the satbox switch on and wait. Now with my suitcase version I can spend an hour moving the trippod and dish, in and out the van have I got a picture or not. More often not. But now wait is no problem My tests have resulted in a picture in less than a minute.
I can not praise it high enough.Yes its a bit more expensive than an ordinary arial on a pole. But sometimes you get what you pay for.

Graham I looked for your link as I knew you had done one but anyway Ray has done a great job and I will be able to stop getting annoyed with loads of cable and loads of men trying to help Ray set the aerial up all around the van to find a signal Laughing Laughing Laughing Peace at last. Wink

We've had a glomex for over a year now and although we had problems with the original one (there was a bad batch when we bought ours) it was replaced with absolutely no problem at all and is brilliant!

We had ours installed by Rhino Installs...he was super...came to us even though he is in Manchester and we are in West Sussex. When we had a problem he came back pronto.

We are very happy with it.
