I can see there are a few sites around Edinburgh and the Lothians. Can anyone recommend any in particular?

Location-wise, the one in East Calder is looking best for us but looking at Google's satellite image, it seems mostly to store caravans.

All advice gratefully received.

I have used Caravanstoragescotland for almost 10 years. It has had a number of names in that time, but owned by the same guy.

Never had any issues. The van is secure and the location is excellent, just off the A1 between Trannent and McMerry.

If you are interested I would suggest you contact then soon as they always seem to have a waiting list. However, the fees are due at the moment and as always some people may not renew, so more chance of a space. 399GBP for the year

As of last week they have intorduced a new access system using finger print technology to access the compound, pretty cool actually and prevents the hastle of keys.

The site is a CASSOA Gold rated site

The owner is called Alistair and is a great guy to do business with.

Thanks, people.

We looked at the Tranent site (neighbours use it for their caravan) but we're keen to find one which is on our route up north (which is where we mostly head when we've rented MHs).

The site at East Calder has spaces and seems to fit the bill for us, so fingers crossed we'll be using them.

They're also CASSOA registered, I think.

We use City Farms in West Calder and they are excellent; however there is usually a waiting list - shows how good they are. They are CASSOA Gold registered.
