Hi everyone, I am just a tad away from buying our first motorhome - it is a Bessacarr E425 with 11,ooo miles on the clock - it is a 2286cc and it's price is £20,000, before I finally sign my name is there anything I should know. It seems a good buy - but what do I know? If you think I should run a millions miles please say so or forever..........

Thanks

A lot of pitfalls and a lot of fun...... A bit like buying a used car but more so. HPI check essential etc etc. Make sure that everything and all appliances work correctly and that the gas system has been properly checked

Don't know if you are buying privately or from a dealer but please make sure that it is properly damp checked before you sign and by someone who knows what to look for. It can be expensive to remedy. I think that there is a buying checklist on here but you would need to subscribe to search for it, I think. Well worth subscribing, you will get a lot of help on here, some of it very useful and money saving.

Others will have other comments as well

enjoy

well first of all is it the new shape cab-X250, Fiat or Peugeot, if buying from a dealer ask for a damp check and then for a list of recalls done, then test drive it for the judder factor in reverse up an incline. Rolling Eyes

Thanks everyone for this helpful advice. I am buyer from a dealer, who is going to give it a full check before it leaves he assures me. It is a fiat, there doesn't seem to be a problem with exterior bodywork, but i havn't been on the roof. it is an 04 model so i think that may not be the new design. I shall certainly check the judder factor when i next go in.
