Can anyone advise me whether a Camos auto roof system will provide any programmes if it is not connected via a "third party" decoder ie Sky or Freesat box - ie a direct connection from dish to tv

Cheers

If you have a tv with built in Freesat (not Freeview) then yes.

If you don't have a tv of this type then you have to have a sat reciever.

The Dome is only a satellite dish so on its own it can't give you tv reception.

If your TV has digital reception for satellite then you are ok. I think that most TV's with built-in digital receivers are for terrestrial signals only, ours certainly is, so you need something with digital satellite reception.
 receiver??

I can confirm that you definitely will need an external receiver with ths unit.

I have seen 12V TVs with free-to-air satellite receivers built in but I don't know if any are available at this time. Virtually all TVs with built-in digital receivers are designed for DVB-T: that's digital TV via an aerial.
