I'd like a dongle for what amounts to occasional use away in the van. So no monthly tarrif & something that doesn't require constant use or topping up to keep it alive.

Who's doing the best deals at the moment ? Anyone know the score ?

Thanks in advance, Dave.

You need to get hold of the Vodafone K3565 dongle. This is the only dongle which is non expiring, all others last 30 days.

Vodafone stopped this dongle a while ago and joined every one else with a 30 day dongle, the K3565R. This has a 3G allowance for 30 days , use it or lose it

The £15 1G top up will last forever on the K3565 , as long as you use it at least once in every 90 days

Quite so Gary. Luckily I have one of those. Wink

Dave - I saw some for sale on eBay a couple of months ago, but I bet they were snapped up quite quickly.

Worth a look though.

Just to be clear on this. A dongle is not capable of expiring, it's the sim card deal which determines whether your credit will or will not expire. Which dongle you use is not important, Alan.

Ebay have them for sale at 55 pounds inc postage (comes with 15 pounds/1 Gig credit), non expiring. A lot more than I paid about a year ago but as long as you keep using it once every 90 days then it can be reloaded with another 15 pounds once you use up the included 15 pounds (I still have 12 pounds left on mine as it is only used when I cant get a signal from 3). Full details on the web page below.
