Hi, I have just become the owner of an 2008 Esprit RT 6844 which came with rather limited literature. I understand that the motorhome's original specification included 3nos 240volt and 2nos 12volt power points. To date however I have only been able to locate 4 sockets which are as follows: One black socket covered by flap next to the sink; a black socket covered by a flap on the panelling next the bed adjacent to the toilet door. One grey socket in the tv cupboard and another similar socket in the garage (which the dealer advised was an previous owner's modification). In addition to these power point there is the obvious 12v cigarette lighter plug on the dash but I am unsure if Dethleff include this in their count.

My wife and I have hunted high and low but are unable to discover any further sockets which leaves us somewhat perplexed given that there should be 3 240v outlets. The two black plugs are both 240v as they power up a domestic kettle. I have yet to try the grey plugs but presume the TV plug is a 12v outlet. Can anyone advise on the location of the plugs and their ratings for this motorhome.

Hi Jak,

I happen to have a 2008 Dethleffs Motorhome brochure - and a 2009 Technical Specification brochure. Both of these include the RT 6844 - but there are no pictures which help to locate the various sockets. The 2009 Tech Spec brochure confirms that the RT 6844 for 2009 had 3 240v and 2 12 v outlets.

Sorry, this isn't really much help but will at least bring the thread back to the top briefly where others may see it.

Regards,
John

Hi Jak,

On my van they are well hidden. There are two 240V sockets that I didn't spot for quite a while. They are both high up above both sinks and facing down on the underneath surface of overhangs.

I have one 240v and 12v in tv cupboard. Two in front of the sink 240v that is. I have another 240v under the cupboard above the sink. I had a four block extension hardwired under the table in lounge. Found a further 12v in bedroom bit but that was only last week have van nearly 3 years Shocked .

Ours is slightly different layout with fixed transverse bed but love it to bits!
