Can anyone suggest a good route from Calaise to Spa Francorchamps? its been a fair few years since I have been to Belgium and looking at the map there now seems to be a motorway the E42 going via Lille, Mons,Namur to Liege is this a good route and is it a toll route? and do they still do those wonderfull fruit filled waffles and not forgeting the chips and mayo......mmmmm yum

I think you're bang on the money there Chris, we've used that E40/E42 route into Germany in the past.
Probably the quickest but not very scenic though.
No tolls either. Smile

went to Spa classic 24 hr last year , was very impressed by the circiut and surrounding area. If you get to Bastogne do visit the WW2 museum that is full of atifacts from that era and helps to explain how the events unfolded. Well recomended.

Been to Spa several times and usually go via A.16 (in France) A.18 (Belgium) then A.10 to Brussels the A.3 past Liege then down the A.27 past Verviers and follow the signs from there to the circuit.

It's easy takes 3 to 4 hours (give or take) and I can use cruise control nearly all the way if it's quiet.

But I tend to come back via Trier and Luxembourg and use the A.4 from Arlon to Namur and then the A.15 - A.7 - A.25 - A.16 back to Calais.

Not a peage on the whole route Wink
