Just had a read through this forum and one thing stood out...when somebody posted and said if they can get a spec lift under the wheels nothing will stop it being taken which is somewhat worrying.
So my question is what can best be done to prevent a vehicle being taken with a spec lift?
Hope you all know what one is but if you dont its like the thing the AA use to put your front wheels on to tow you away.
If i wanted to nick one why would i ask what measures can be put into place?
You say to see what i could be up against? Well i only have to look on the net for immobilisers or wheel guards or whatever else, i just wondered what can be done to prevent theft by spec lift, the gippos already know the answers do you think they are looking here on the net.
What a clown.
Moderator note.
We get a fair few phishing posts from time to time, and the question was sensible, especially in view of the subject matter.

I think you are all getting a bit too precious and making a mountian out of a molehill. It was a reasonable request but unfortunately the response could have been a bit more diplomatic and the mod should have PMd,instead of issuing a 'public' threat. We all know how to be good boys.

I think, if you read it again, you'll find only one unaccountable person was getting precious /rude.
Having had a car nicked this way, there is no foolproof way to prevent it. The Police advice was to always drive in to a parking spot (not reverse in). Put your front wheels on an angle and apply the steering lock. Fit a good alarm.
It would need to be a big recovery vehicle for mine, it has a 5 ton MAM and would probably lift the front wheels of the other vehicle off the ground.
Everyone seems a bit touchy today....must be the weather.
