Hi,
Just casting around for insurance renewal. SAGA offer a really competitive quote. Tried MHF Aviva but not significantly better than my current insurer CaravanGuard.

Does anyone have experience insuring with SAGA and their service?

Thanks
Brian

I have various insurance policies with Saga including Motorhome and find them excellent including their response to the one claim I have had to make (on the MH).

I'm insured with Saga, but luckily not had to test their service yet.

As you say excellent price, just over £200 including breakdown cover.

Hi

I have found Saga very competitive and have been insured with them for the past 3 years, had a small bump a couple of years ago (not my fault) all sorted out with one phone call, very good service.
You do not know how good an insurance company is until you have to make a claim, very pleased with their service.

they were very good while i was with them had both car and motorhome last year but while motorhome only went up £10 car went up 30% so stayed with the motorhome saved £132 on my car insurance,
there was a thread on here recently regarding saga and household insurance, and the fact they seem to give a better introductory discount than they do a loyalty bonus, seeming to rely on people just renewing without shopping around,

We've got everything- house, car, van and travel with Saga and come back to them year after year.

They've dealt with past claims on the house very fairly and efficiently and were excellent when we had to call them out to the van. There is also the consideration that, if you are approaching 70, when travel insurance becomes more expensive, it helps- I hope- to be already with them.

for my 2nd year with them they expected an extra £100+ for the same policy

I checked with MHF and their quotation was less than I paid last year and included European cover

Hi

Watch out for your renewal next year. We had both MH & car with Saga, now neither are with them.

Both increased dramatically. Car wasnt increased to much (£80) but MH went up over £200 with a claim free year Twisted Evil

Now Axa have the car and Campton the MH ( Campton are over £300 cheaper than Saga LAST YEAR and with UK & Continent breakdown cover). Saga seen to penalise you if you stay with them !!!
Very Happy

Dave & Jan
