Has anybody got a dash camera fitted if so is it any good..do you get got playback or do you have to send it to NASA to be enhanched.
Been looking at fitting one for security and fun but there is big price differences on ebay I suppose you get what you pay for in the end. One model is avialable from 30 to 100 quid the spec is the same.

Recomendations please

Brian

Hi

I have one of these from 7 Day shop.

CarCam <<

I have only played with it a few times so far ..it is fun but not very user friendly when it comes to the controls ....but the video quality is amazing for such a cheapo item. I really must get it set up properly ...the mount is a bit flimsy and vibrates a little but as you say you get what you pay for and on video quality and price you cannot beat this one .

I actually bought the version with the smaller memory card ...but they are out of stock at the moment ...I had to wait a few days to get mine , they sell like hot cakes @ £15.

Sample Avi video ( very short ) <<< taken from our motorhome on the way to a rally... it is very short but can anyone identify the village ???? Laughing

Mike

If the OP is looking for a motion cam (like what they've introduced in USA for insurance purposes) I've had a play around with a GS600 model. It is available online for about £100.

I liked it because from memory it has

1.) Full HD Recording
2.) GPS Readout of Location and Speed
3.) If you hard wire it, it automatically starts and stops recording when you turn on the ingition
4.) If has a 'shock' sensor and will save (i think) the last 10 min of video and 2 minutes after a shock is felt.
5.) Has a 'store now' button that does the same thing - like if you've just had a near miss / seen someone do something silly you want to put you youtube just press it.

Some videos:

There are some non-GPS non-HD versions for about £30 however, depends what you are wanting it for.
