Hope someone can help.

We do not watch a lot of telly when out and about, however when we do, the picture occasionally goes off, and the "AutoTrail" splash screen appears for a few seconds, and then the program comes back on.

I have checked the cables, also the strength of the signal, it seems good.

Does anyone else suffer with this ?

How can I get it fixed ?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

I would only expect that situation in a weak signal area.
Don't forget that digital TVs are virtually either on or off, unlike analogue which gives different picture quality in a bad signal area.

HTH.

Hubby says maybe needs retuning or aerial just needs a tweak to receive. Even at home he does a new search every so often on Freeview as programmes are either added or taken off. Smile

It just seems to be what happens sometimes - I get it at home where the transmitter is only about 15 miles away and even at my mother's house where I can see the transmitter straight up the road.

Digital is either on or off and sometimes something just seems to make it go off.

If the picture is going off completely and the splash screen is appearing, it sounds as if the TV is intermittently resetting. I do not know the installation, but if you disconnect the aerial whilst watching Freeview, does it show a "NO SIGNAL" message or does the picture freeze?
If it does then the problem is not your aerial or reception, it is an internal fault with the TV.
