Hi

On the dash is a dial with 0,1,2,3 on for adjusting the height of the headlight beam. Mine doesn't work, I turn it and the headlight beam doesn't move one bit. Is this a common fault and has anyone come across this problem on their vehicle? Any idea's on how to fix or where to start looking for faulty bits?

On the rear of each headlamp cluster, you will see an actuator roughly the same size and shape as a 35mm film canister, it's held in place by a 3legged bayonet type fitting, which usually twists to enable removal.
probably what has happened is that the actuator rod has come away from the socket in the reflector, remove the actuator body from the head lamp, have an assistant twiddle the control knob on the dash whilst you visually check for movement of the operating rod, if that checks out OK then hold of the reflector end in the lamp and check for free movement.

It may be necessary to ease the headlamp forward to make refitting easier, the retaing screws are located behind the front grille.

Best of luck!! M&D Smile

Hi

I know that it is a long time ago but did you find a way of topping up the fluid in your headlidht adjusters?

http://www.motorhomefacts.com/ftopict-91803-.html there you go see last post chap, dont be tempted to dismantle headlight adjuster motor............I broke mine and had to buy a new one as well as a dash switch Sad
Chris
ps take the dash switch out and if you take it appart you can turn the electrical pot with a small screwdriver to satisfy yourself that your light units are working
