A couple of years ago I noticed that the tarmac on the drive where I park the motorhome was showing slight signs of getting an indent where the front wheels rest.

In an attempt to stop this going any further I cut a couple of sheets of wood 1/2" thick 24"square to park the front wheels on. Before putting them down they got a serious painting of outdoor wood paint.

I'm now on my third set as they keep disintegrating in the wet weather and the current set are starting to go the same way.

I keep my eyes open for some kind of replacement that will last longer.

Any one any ideas for what I could use as a replacement?

I did think about a suggestion for a bread tray for parking on when on a field but I have never seen one nor do I think it would be any good on tarmac.

Keith

Paving Slabs? Come in all shapes, sizes, thickness's.

This is what I used when I had to park our van on our grass when we had lots of visitors in wet weather.

Yes, good idea but they are usually too thick and the area where I park is uneven and the slabs wouldn't lie flat. I might try a couple though - thanks

Keep a look out for one of those small white tippers with no tax and a couple of swarthy guys inside.
Might just have some tarmac left over from a job. They used to call on me regularly.

Ray.

aaahhh - now that's a good idea. I'm at the shops this afternoon. I'll have a look. Needs to be bigger than normal.

Many thanks

Marine grade ply - different resin. I forget BS no. but timber merchants will know. however you might have to buy a 8'X4' sheet.
