Thinking of buying a motor home. Went to see a dealer in Devon today just to get an idea. There is only two of us but we have an extensive family and grandchildren. I fancy a 4berth plus as I am a restless sleeper and we will no doubt have the grandchildren with us sometimes. Size of vehicle for driving is not to much of a factor as when retired I did some part time work driving diabled people about in a long wheel based Iveco. However I do ot wish to go down the American sized motor home trail. I have looked at Bessacar, Compact, Autotrail, Swift, Eldis. Wishing to spend up to about £27000.
We also intend to do some extensive European traveling. What about buying in Europe, hear they are cheaper.
Any advice would be Gratefully received
Thanks Cornish Camper
I have decided to change from caravan to motorhome but apart from looking at dealers models, have not got a lot of idea about 'best buy', so would appreciate any advice. I am a widower living in Devon but being 6' 2" need quite a bit of space, so would probably go for a 4 berth. I hope to travel to and within France, Spain and Portugal at some stage. Looking at spend of 25 to 30K. Any advice would be most appreciated.
