a little bit urgent, where do I find the alko chassis number please on a Swift Gazell F59, 2002 vintage, need to order a nearside wheel bearing.Anyone know their cost and is there one or two bearing per side.

On a slightly different tack......chances are that Alko use a standard bearing that would be obtainable from any bearing supplier. All you'd need to do is get the code off the old bearing or take it in to get it sized. May not be possible in your circumstances but could save you a good few pounds if you can.

I did the same for a BMW motorcycle some years back. At the time the bearing from BMW was about £30. I picked up the same bearing (actually the same manufacturer who supplied BMW) from a bearing specialist for £7!
