I had a thought, if you have a solar panel fitted close to a satellite dish the shadow cast by the dish will reduce the power from the panel. I have 5 rooflights on my van and one is near one of my solar panels, and even the shadow from the clear plastic reduces the output significantly if the sun is in the wrong direction.

So think carefully where you have a dish fitted if you have solar panels or are going to have some later

Yes.. BUT....
Tomorrow you may move and be parked facing a totally different direction, with the van at another angle and the position of the shadow will change ????
So it bear's no relevance really......

And without wishing to start any sort of argument, if I wanted to watch telly all day I would stay at home! Shocked Laughing Laughing Laughing

It's a point worth noting though Jez, particularly for next year when people might be parked up in the same place for a few days so they can watch quite a lot of the Olympics during the daytime.

Useful hint! Wink Very Happy

Yes, however if you are having a dish fitted it is worth baring in mind that if you can keep it well away from your panel it is worth doing so.
