hi all

during ths blizzards in wales today, was winding awning in and it died totally refused to wind in anymore mechanism was just clicking, un wound but would'nt wind in, now to be honest last few times it as been a little stiff to close, i managed to get it to wind in by taking end cap off and putting half inch socket into the body and turning it along with the winder, very slow and wet
my question is, i figure its whats known as the gearbox thats gone but had it gone stiff to wind in because arms needed lubricating or something or was it due to the gearbox mechanism srarting to fail,
the gearbox is basically the part the winder goes in,

thanks mark

Hi
If you ask the staff at Hill view Awnings they are really helpful, saved me money when another person said we needed to buy a complete new leg, they supplied a £9.00 part that fixed the problem.

I have no connections with the company only a very satisfied customer.
