Dammed insurance company is insisting upon an alarm for my latest shiny toy.

I know the Strikeback has a good rep here but Scotland to Cornwall doesnt appeal much.

Saw a Hornet system advertised.

Has anyone any feedback or advice?

thanks

As long as the system is Thatcham Cat 1 approved, it should be OK.

I had one installed through the dealer when we bought it. It's a "Meta System" alarm, and it's totally integrated into the central locking system, which means there is no separate remote control for it.

Although we haven't had it long, we have had no problems - except when I locked the van with the windows open, and forgot to disable the internal sensors. The flapping of a curtain set the thing off. Oops. Sorry neighbours Embarassed

Gerald

VanBitz have agents for fitting the Strikeback, but I don't know who they are or where they are situated.

A phone call would find out though I've no doubt.

You could try these guys in Falkirk.
We get our servicing and mot done by them and they are very good. Not sure if they do alarms though.

The guy that does the motorhomes is a motorhome owner himself and will talk to you about camping until the cows come home!
